The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) has released the UP CNET Mop-Up Round seat matrix today, 24 July 2026, on the official counselling portal, abvmucet26.co.in. The matrix lists the college-wise and category-wise vacant seats remaining after Round 1 and Round 2 of counselling, giving candidates who missed a seat in the earlier rounds one more structured opportunity to secure admission to the BSc Nursing programme.
What the Mop-Up Round Covers
The UP CNET counselling process for the four-year BSc Nursing course runs across three main stages: Round 1, Round 2, and this Mop-Up round, with a further Stray round conducted afterward only if seats still remain vacant. Since Round 2 results were declared only a day earlier, any seats left unfilled after candidates confirmed or declined their allotment have now been rolled into the mop-up matrix. Candidates who wish to give up an already allotted seat must formally resign from it before participating in this round, as holding two seats simultaneously is not permitted.

Key Dates for UP CNET Mop-Up Round
According to the schedule released by ABVMU, the Mop-Up Round counselling began on 24 July 2026, immediately after the seat matrix was published. The seat allocation result for this round is expected to be declared on 1 August 2026, giving candidates roughly a week to review the vacant seats, complete their choice filling, and lock in their preferences. Candidates are advised to complete every step within this window, since delays or missed deadlines could mean losing the chance altogether, with only the Stray round remaining afterward.
Fees and Eligibility to Note
Participation in this round requires payment of the standard counselling registration fee of Rs 500, which is non-refundable, along with a counselling security fee of Rs 5,000, which is refunded once the entire counselling process concludes. Only candidates who cleared the UP CNET exam, held on 6 June 2026, with results declared on 13 June 2026, remain eligible to take part in this and subsequent rounds. Nearly 11,610 BSc Nursing seats are up for allotment across Uttar Pradesh’s public and private nursing colleges this year through the BSc Nursing counselling process, so the mop-up matrix is expected to carry a sizeable number of vacancies from both categories of institutions.
How to Check the Seat Matrix and Apply
Candidates can visit abvmucet26.co.in and download the mop-up seat matrix PDF to check college- and category-wise vacancies before filling fresh choices. It is strongly advised to cross-check the matrix against one’s category, rank, and preferred institutions before locking any choice, since selections cannot typically be revised once submitted. After choice filling closes, allotment will be based on merit rank, category, and seat availability, following the same process used in the earlier rounds of UP CNET 2026 counselling.
