About UP CNET 2026
The Uttar Pradesh Common Nursing Entrance Test is conducted annually by ABVMU as a centralised gateway for admission to BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, and MSc Nursing / NPCC programmes offered by government and private nursing colleges affiliated with the university across Uttar Pradesh. The UP CNET 2026 examination was held on June 6, 2026, in pen-and-paper format across 20 cities in the state. The exam was conducted without any negative marking, making the score calculation straightforward based on correct responses alone.

The UP CNET 2026 serves as the key to approximately 11,610 BSc Nursing seats spread across around 185 participating nursing institutions, including government institutions affiliated with ABVMU, KGMU, SGPGIMS, RMLIMS, UPUMS Saifai, and LLRM Meerut. Out of these, nearly 23 are government nursing institutes, and 20 institutions hold the prestigious ‘A’ rating for the BSc Nursing programme.

To be eligible for counselling based on the UP CNET Result 2026, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifying percentile thresholds:
- General Category: 50th Percentile

What’s Next: Counselling and Seat Allotment
With the UP CNET Result 2026 now declared, ABVMU is set to begin the centralised online counselling process from June 29, 2026 onwards. Qualified candidates will need to register online, fill in their preferred colleges and courses, upload the necessary documents, and pay the required counselling fee to participate in seat allotment.
Admissions will be granted on the basis of candidates’ ranks, reservation category, seat availability, and college preferences filled during counselling. Candidates with a rank below 500 in the open category are considered strong contenders for securing seats in the top ‘A’-rated nursing institutions.
The official cutoff for each college and category will not be released in advance. Instead, closing ranks will be published after each round of counselling on the official portal. Candidates are advised to fill as many college preferences as possible to maximise their chances of securing a seat in a preferred institution.
