The UPESEAT 2026 Phase 6 Registration has begun at the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun, with candidates now able to apply online at upes.ac.in until July 15, 2026. This marks the sixth window in a year-long, multi-phase admission cycle for B.Tech programmes, following Phase 5, whose registration closed on June 30 and the exam was held on July 2.
Registration Process and Fees
To complete the UPESEAT 2026 Phase 6 Registration, candidates need to follow these steps:

- Visit upes.ac.in and click on the “Apply Now” link for UPESEAT
- Register with basic details — name, email, mobile number, and gender — and verify via OTP
- Fill in personal, academic, and communication details, then upload a photograph and signature
- Pay the non-refundable application fee of ₹1,750 via net banking, credit card, or debit card
- Submit and download the confirmation form for reference — no correction facility is available afterward
Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Admission
Candidates applying under the UPES B.Tech remote proctored exam route need to meet specific academic benchmarks depending on their chosen programme:
- Minimum 50% marks in Class X and XII, along with 50% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) in Class XII for regular B.Tech programmes
- B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing: a higher bar of 70% marks in Class X, XII, and PCM
- Admission is also available through JEE Main scores, Class 12 board merit, SAT, and CUET UG, with UPESEAT itself filling roughly 80% of total seats
Exam Pattern and What Happens Next
Once registered, candidates will need to complete slot booking before their admit card becomes available, since the UPESEAT 2026 exam is conducted as a remote-proctored, 2-hour online test with cameras required throughout. Key exam details to note:
- The question paper typically carries around 125 multiple-choice questions
- Results for each phase are declared separately, with candidates checking scores via their registered login credentials
- Candidates who don’t clear this phase or miss the deadline can still apply for subsequent phases, since UPES conducts UPESEAT across multiple windows through the year to give aspirants flexibility
Candidates are advised to apply well before the July 15 deadline, since slot availability for the exam tends to fill up as the window nears its close.
