XAT registration 2027 has officially begun today, 15 July 2026, with XLRI Jamshedpur opening the application form for the Xavier Aptitude Test on the official website, xatonline.in. XAT 2027 Convener Dr Rahul Shukla has confirmed that the exam will be held on Sunday, 3 January 2027, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, in computer-based mode across more than 110 test cities in India.
XAT Registration 2027: Important Dates
The XAT registration 2027 window will remain open till 6 December 2026, giving candidates ample time to complete their application. Candidates who complete their registration on the very first day, today, will be allotted their first-preferred test city, with confirmation to follow by 5 August 2026. This early-registration benefit is aimed at helping candidates plan their exam-day travel well in advance.

XAT 2027 Application Fee
The XAT 2027 registration fee has been increased to Rs. 2,300, up from Rs. 2,200 charged for XAT 2026. Candidates who also wish to apply to XLRI Jamshedpur’s PGDM programmes must pay an additional Rs. 200 per programme selected. The application form will remain incomplete until the fee is paid, and the amount is non-refundable under any circumstances, so candidates are advised to verify all entries carefully before making the payment.
How to Complete XAT Registration 2027
Candidates can follow these steps to register and fill out the XAT 2027 application form:
- Visit the official website, xatonline.in, and click on the “Register” tab.
- Enter your name, email ID, phone number, and set a password.
- Verify your registration through the confirmation link sent to your email.
- Log in using your XAT ID and password to fill in personal, academic, and work-experience details.
- Select your preferred XLRI programme(s), if applicable, and choose up to six preferred test cities.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature as per specifications.
- Review all details carefully, since edits are not permitted after submission.
- Proceed to the payment tab and pay the application fee to complete the process.
An e-Receipt will be generated upon successful payment; candidates should save and print both the receipt and the confirmation page for future reference.
