With the NEET UG 2026 result declared on July 16, the Medical Counselling Committee is expected to begin counselling registration for the 15 per cent All India Quota seats around July 25, 2026 at @mcc.nic.in. The counselling covers seats in government medical and dental colleges across India, as well as 100 per cent seats in central universities, deemed universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC institutions, and AFMC Pune.
MCC counselling will run in four stages: Round 1 and Round 2 (main rounds with free exit option after Round 1), Round 3 (Mop-Up Round), and a Stray Vacancy Round for final vacant seats. A critical rule: no AIQ seats revert to states after Round 2, making both main rounds essential for candidates seeking AIQ seats.

Students must register on both the MCC portal and their respective state counselling portal, since 85 per cent of seats are allotted through state-level counselling conducted by separate authorities with their own schedules.
Why It Matters to Students
- MCC registration expected within one week — all documents must be ready now
- Skipping Round 1 and Round 2 is strategically risky because seats do not return
- Students should prepare NEET admit card, scorecard, Class 10 and 12 certificates, category certificates, and valid photo ID before counselling opens
Key Dates: MCC registration expected around July 25, 2026 | Four counselling rounds expected through October 2026
