The expert team deployed from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur by the Central Government has formally given the green light to the CBSE Post-Result Services portal infrastructure, clearing it for the next phase of operations which includes the full re-evaluation process by examiners. As of June 8, 2026, the IIT-led panel confirmed that all identified security vulnerabilities in the portal have been addressed, the platform has been migrated to a more secure environment, and it is now technically ready to support the mass re-evaluation of Class 12 answer scripts. IIT teams will remain on standby in case fresh issues emerge during the operational re-evaluation period.
This is a pivotal development for the approximately 70,433 students who submitted valid applications for verification of marks and re-evaluation before the June 7, 2026 midnight deadline.

What Happens Next in the Re-Evaluation Process
The IIT team’s approval means CBSE can now:
- Assign re-evaluation requests to qualified trained evaluators across India
- Enable examiners to log into the secured portal and access their assigned answer scripts
- Process verification of marks and re-evaluation of individual questions
- Generate revised marks sheets where the evaluation results differ from the original
- Communicate outcomes to affected students and update their records

Parliamentary Panel Update
A Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education has also formally stepped in and begun an independent audit of the complete CBSE OSM marking scheme for 2026. This dual layer of IIT expert oversight and parliamentary scrutiny represents an unprecedented level of accountability for CBSE’s examination evaluation process.
Students who applied before the June 7 midnight deadline should now wait for their results to be communicated. No further applications are accepted. For queries: Call 1800 11 8004 or email resultcbse2026@cbseshiksha.in
