The CBSE Class 12 post-result services have come under sharp scrutiny, as technical glitches in the board’s digital evaluation system triggered widespread concern among students and parents. In response, IIT Madras has sent a technical team to Delhi to examine the problems in CBSE’s On-Screen Marking and re-evaluation portal.
Several students reported receiving blurred or illegible scanned answer sheets, while others pointed to responses that appeared unmarked. The situation worsened after CBSE admitted to a Physics answer sheet mix-up of a Class 12 student during verification. The board has also extended the deadline for submitting scanned copy applications and clarified that a viral circular claiming cancellation of re-evaluation is fake news. The Education Ministry has sought a report and asked IITs to help fix the glitches, with public sector banks assisting on payment gateway issues after incorrect fee deductions.
For students, the advice is to rely only on official CBSE notifications, use the extended window to submit applications, and avoid panic over unverified social media circulars. The board has assured corrective measures are being taken.
