Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is set to declare the UPTAC Round 2 allotment result today, 24 July 2026, on the official counselling portal, uptac.samarth.edu.in. Candidates who took part in the second round of UPTAC 2026 counselling for BTech admissions will be able to check their allotted institute, branch, and category once the link goes live. This allotment comes after AKTU closed the choice filling and modification window on 22 July 2026, giving eligible candidates a chance to add, delete, or reorder their college and branch preferences before the final processing began.
Who Is Eligible for This UPTAC Round 2
Only candidates who selected the Float option after the Round 1 result and had cleared the required seat acceptance fee were allowed to edit their choices in this window. Those who remained unallotted after Round 1 are also evaluated afresh in UPTAC Round 2 against the updated vacancy list, without needing to submit a new application. Round 1 choice filling had closed on 16 July 2026, with that result declared on 18 July 2026, setting the stage for this second round of the AKTU counselling cycle.

How to Check and Download the UPTAC Round 2 Result
Once declared, candidates can log in to uptac.samarth.edu.in using their JEE Main application number and UPTAC password. The result will appear under the “Seat Allotment” tab on the dashboard, showing the allotted college, course, and category. Candidates must download the provisional allotment letter after paying the seat acceptance fee, as it is a mandatory document for physical reporting and must be carried in original at the allotted institute.
Fee Payment and Willingness Options
Candidates satisfied with their allotted seat need to pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs 20,000 for General and OBC candidates, and Rs 12,000 for SC/ST candidates, to confirm the offer. After payment, an online willingness option must be chosen: Freeze, to lock the seat and exit further rounds; Float, to retain the current seat while remaining in contention for a better option later; or Withdrawal, for those who wish to opt out entirely. Along with the seat allotment, AKTU is also expected to release the round-wise institute cutoff, listing opening and closing ranks for participating colleges.
